Potato Crop Approved Pesticides 2006

We have updated our approved pesticide list for 2006. This includes every active ingredient approved for application to seed and ware crops in the UK.



There are some products which, although they carry UK approvals, are not permitted or are restricted by some end users. Where this is the case we have highlighted where care must be taken.



Most of these restrictions apply to potatoes supplied for fresh use. However, retailers such as Marks and Spencer and the Co-op are increasingly looking at the protocols applied to potatoes used for their cooked or processed products.



To ensure marketing options are not limited it is necessary to be aware of restrictions imposed by programmes such as Nature's Choice, Field to Fork etc.
