This page will cover all aspects of Health & Safety across the Company with updates, policy re-writes and a common sense interpretation of the regulations and codes of practices in line with our overall aim of becoming a Zero Accident Company
Substantial Health & Safety Progress Continues
The substantial progress made towards ensuing a safer, healthier workplace has continued and is gaining momentum as we progress towards our aim of becoming a zero accident company.
The revised Health and Safety Policy booklet has helped to promote a healthy interest in the existing systems and to focus attention on improving the Group's record in many areas.
To support this commitment to improving Health and Safety across the Group we are to launch an ambitious programme of Health and Safety training, designed to match everyone's requirements to their training needs, and to this end we will be producing a Health and Safety Matrix covering everyone in the company.
Work continues in other key areas which will later be integrated into the Matrix, for example:
- Fire Risk Assessments
- Update on Noise Regulations
- Update on the comprehensive asbestos register.
In line with the previously stated policy all the above systems will be drawn up in line with creating a "living system" which requires as many people involved across the Group having an input and assiting to develop the type of culture they would like to see throughout the company.
There will be several intitiatives across the company in the coming months so keep an eye on the notice boards.
